In Menorca (Catalan for Minorca) we stayed in the southern part of the island at the Alcaufar Vell Hotel which is situated in the Minorcan countryside on a family farm that dates to the 14th century. The farm is a sprawling plot of land marked throughout by stone walls and gardens. There were a couple of donkeys and roosters within earshot. It’s the kind of place that Michael Corleone could lay low if the need arises.

Side Note
Minorca is the english spelling of Menorca. Do with that what you will.
