Day Trip to Bruges

The perfect day trip from Ghent is to Bruges. It's an easy train ride and Bruges is small enough and perfect for a day.

A couple days visiting Ghent that included exploring the Christmas market, eating well and taking a day trip to Bruges.

We covered a lot of ground while visiting Antwerp, including the Christmas Markets, seeing architecture sites and more.

Nik and I decided to buy tickets to see Bonnie Tyler, of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" fame in concert while in Lille.

Nik and I visited Lille, France for a few days and found a city steeped in rich history while enjoying its Christmas market.

We decided on flying La Compagnie, an all-business class airline, that flies from Newark, NJ to three European destinations, including Paris.

The Barcelona craft beer scene has exploded over the last few years and these are some of our favorite places for craft beer in Barcelona.

After roughly 13 months of living in Spain, it was time to return to Chicago while also flying a dog in the hold of an airplane.

We were able to squeeze in a two hour sunset sail along the coast of Barcelona before returning to Chicago.
